Archived messages in action centre

I want to delete old archive messages.  Also troubleshooting never seems to solve anything ???  Is action centre not running as it should ? when I started using action centre it was very useful, but the last 3 months it  has been a waste of time.

You can do this with the Disk Cleanup utility:
 
a.      
Click on Start and type
Disk Cleanup in the Search Box.
In the results, click Disk Cleanup.

Select the System Drive and click
OK.
 
c.      
After the scan,
in the files to delete section, select all 3 of the Error Reporting options at the bottom of the list.
 
d.     
Click OK.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Open Run command as previously described
  • Type MSConfig
  • Click on Boot tab
  • Tick Safe boot in Boot option
  • Select Network
  • Click Apply and OK
  • Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
