downloads/programs/addons/plugins (i.e.
Google Earth) try to install on drive F: which I don't have, instead of main drive C: How do I change the default drive back to C: drive?

Let’s follow these steps and check if it helps.

a.
Type ‘regedit’ in the start search box and press enter.
b.
In registry, browse to the location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version.
c.
In the right pane, locate ‘ProgramFilesDir’ under name and make sure that the value isC:\Program Files.
d.
If the value is not displayed as C:\Program Files, you may edit the value and change it to C:\Program Files.
e.
You need to double click on‘ProgramFilesDir’ and type the locationC:\Program Files in the value data box, click OK.
f.
Close registry and check if you are able to install the programs in C: drive.

Therefore, make sure that you
follow these steps carefully.

Note: It is recommended that you back up your files and folders before attempting this step:

Move the mouse cursor over to the upper right side of the screen.
A menu will pop up on the left. Click on the "Settings" feature on the menu.
On the Settings window, click on the "Change PC settings."
Now, left click on the "Update and recovery" feature.
