I have a document saved in word 2010 that I have saved to my desktop for easy access, now when I click on that document on the desktop the Microsoft  office 2010 screen appears and ask me to enter the product key.
Then when I entered this code it says
it is not a valid number.
what has happen and how do I get this to open on the desktop again?

Which edition of Office did you purchase (Office Home and Student 2010, Office Home and Business 2010, Office Professional 2010)?

Click on Start /Control Panel /Program/Program and feature
If found, uninstall the same and repair the edition of Office which you purchased and verify the status.

Machine Throttling

• Click the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
